Reconnecting your smart devices, including the Eufy camera, is a must when you change your internet provider or if you are upgrading a router. Unfortunately, you cannot do a simple change of WiFi settings on Eufy cameras via the app. Instead, the setup procedure has to be repeated. Let’s see how to quickly Eufy camera change wifi.
Step 1: Remove the device from your Eufy account.
Open the Eufy Security app, sign in using your Eufy login credentials, and proceed to change the WiFi on your Eufy camera. A few taps on the gear icon (Settings) will appear after navigating to the camera you want to update; scroll down and select “Remove Device.” Confirm with “OK” that you want to remove it.
Step 2: Reset the Camera.
Find your Eufy camera reset button next. Hold it for about ten seconds, until the LED indicator flashes or you hear the voice prompt; not all cameras provide such an indication. This backdated the camera to default settings.
Step 3: Reconnect to the New WiFi
You are again set to install an Eufy. Click the “+” icon in the app to add the device, and then follow the in-app instructions. During the Eufy setup process, there will be a prompt asking for your new WiFi credentials. Most Eufy cameras, however, will not support 5GHz network; therefore, be sure to connect to a 2.4GHz network.
Step 4: Confirming the Link
You will receive confirmation when your Eufy camera connects to your new WiFi. Now, test the live feed to make sure the camera is working properly.
Although a bit tedious, changing the WiFi on a Eufy camera is easy. Always remember, you have to delete the camera from your account and perform the full Eufy setup again using your Eufy login. It might seem like a lot of work, but this keeps your camera connected and secure.
